2017 Annual Deer Hunt
The City of Mendota Heights City Council authorized a variance to the no hunting ordinance by Resolution 12-074.  The Metro Bowhunters Resource Base (www.mbrb.org) will be conducting the hunts authorized by the City Council under a contract with the City.  The city began authorizing small hunts in an effort to control the population starting in 1995.  Recent years have shown a need to expand the areas hunted.  In response to citizen requests a new plan was drafted in an attempt to control the deer population in the city.

There is no other hunting allowed in the City of Mendota Heights.

If you have private property and are interested having your property included in the hunt please call 651-452-1366 and ask for more information on the deer hunt.  Depending on the size of your parcel, you may be considered to join the hunt only if it can be done safely.   Each parcel will be considered individually based on a number of factors.
